Message from the President

Mrs. Patricia P. Stokes, President & CEO |
2013 is a year of remembrances in the world of civil rights. Please place on your radar the historic significance of 2013. 2013 represents the 50th anniversary of the MARCH on WASHINGTON, the BIRMINGHAM confrontation including the bombing of the 16th STREET BAPTIST CHURCH and the death of the 4 little girls, the assassinations of MEDGAR EVERS and JOHN KENNEDY, the 150th anniversary of the EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION and last, but not least, 45 years of service for the Urban League of Middle Tennessee.
This history will inspires and elevates our work in 2013. We will do our best to integrate memories and interpretations of this crucial history into all of our events throughout the year as we continue to strive to serve the greater Nashville community in the areas of workforce development and education.
Keep in touch. Get involved. Be a part of the Movement that works to elevate, inspire and EMPOWER!
Sincere regards,
Patricia P. Stokes
