PROGRAM BACKGROUND
The Urban League has supported communities for over 53 years through economic development programs, policy work, and community partnerships. While headquartered in Nashville, TN, our service area allowed us to support nine counties in Middle Tennessee for the past 53 years. As a community development institution that invests in the community, multifamily, and mixed-use development in the Nashville area, we seek to connect our goals of neighborhood revitalization and community wealth-building; this program is one way of making that connection.
We believe that communities of color have a right to benefit from and participate in Nashville’s growing prosperity while preserving community history and culture. To that end, the Urban League believes that ethnic and racial minority real estate developers need to participate in and benefit from the multifamily real estate development industry in the Nashville/Davidson County area.
