Read and Rise Volunteer Signups

ULMT is recruiting 50 - 60 Volunteers to work with a web-based application where students can do one-on-one tutoring through the internet. Students connect with a tutor through a video call and use BookNook to read a book, engage in literacy activities and games. Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade will experience fun, interactive phonics, and reading comprehension lessons while also connecting with a caring adult (that’s you).

There is a mandatory training and background check required before participation. Tutoring will begin the week of March 22, 2021, and go through the end of the academic year.
