Welcome to the Leadership Academy, a prestigious youth leadership initiative hosted by the Urban League of Middle Tennessee and dedicated to cultivating the next generation of changemakers. The Leadership Academy consists of Leadership Academy for Girls, Leadership Academy for Boys, and Path to Purpose, each designed to equip young leaders with the confidence, skills, mentorship, and real-world experiences needed to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact in their schools, communities, and future careers.

This dynamic program is designed for rising high school freshmen through seniors, both boys and girls, while Path to Purpose focuses on college readiness, career exploration, and leadership development for students preparing to transition into college and adulthood. Together, these experiences provide a transformative environment that combines academic enrichment, leadership development, and personal and professional growth.

PATH TO
PURPOSE PROGRAM
JUNE 1 - 5, 2026

A one-week college readiness intensive designed to help students strengthen leadership skills, explore career pathways, and prepare for life beyond high school with confidence and purpose. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, guest speakers, and personal development experiences focused on leadership, self-discovery, and future success.
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY GIRLS PROGRAM
JUNE 8 - 12, 2026
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
This one-week intensive will focus on leadership identity, self-worth, confidence, and collaboration for 12 selected young women. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, guest panels, and real-world vision casting to help them step boldly into their leadership potential.
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY BOYS PROGRAM
JUNE 15 - 26, 2026
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
This two-week component is designed to empower 20 selected young men with strong leadership foundations, focusing on responsibility, legacy, resilience, and purpose. Through mentorship, hands-on projects, and team-building experiences, fellows will grow in both character and capacity.
